Anmerkungen zum Plan | Als 200. Gleisplan in der Datenbank sollte es natürlich etwas Besonders sein. Nach dem Motto "Back to the roots" fand ich es konsequent, nicht eine noch größere, komplexere und aufwendigere Anlage zu zeigen, sondern einen Rekord ganz anderer Art: die kleinste funktionsfähige Anlage in Spur Z.
Die "Anlage" von Manfred Sobczak und Walter Völklein wurde von Carl Ahrendt im Rahmen seines Wettbewerbs "World's Smallest Working Model Railroad Challenge" präsentiert: "In Germany, Manfred Sobczak created this tiny subminiature pizza layout in Z scale (6.5mm gauge) on a track base fabricated by Walter Völklein. Walter made the track by soldering the rails with a 14mm (0.55in) radius to a piece of copper-clad printed circuit board, then grinding away the cladding between the rails to isolate them electrically. About the layout construction Manfred commented, "This layout has built in one reed-contact and knob-cells. You can control the driving of the loco and the lamp-light using the magnetic pen shown. On this micro-radius, only locos with axial distance of [no more than] 12mm can move (for example this Köf loco from Dr. Andreas Scheibe)." |
